These necklaces are designed for children and made with Baltic amber beads singularly knotted and with safety screw clasps.

These necklaces ensure the quality and origin of this Baltic amber. Wearing Baltic amber close to the skin is a traditional European remedy for teething. A natural analgesic, amber will help calm without resorting to drugs. Made from fossilized tree resin, leave the teething necklace in the sunshine to warm up and increase the natural analgesic (succinic acid) power. SIZING:

As long as the necklace is not too snug, the length is a personal preference. A convenient way to measure is to drape a tape measure or a piece of string around your little one's neck to see what length you are most comfortable with.

Some Mamas prefer a shorter necklace so that it is less likely their little one will be able to get it into their mouth.  Other Mamas select longer lengths so that their children will be able to wear the necklaces for a period of time that extends beyond teething.

IMPORTANT: Alfamber necklaces are NOT meant to be worn when a child is sleeping. Please remove the necklaces prior to naps or bedtime. Also, these necklaces are NOT meant to be chewed on. The calming properties of the amber are achieved by wearing the necklace on the skin!! Not intended for children under 3.
