Fitted Cloth Diapers

Love the breatheability of a cloth prefold diaper, but want an easy alternative to diaper pins,  snappis and cloth prefold diaper? The answer - fitted cloth diapers. Fitted cloth diapers are already contoured to fit your baby perfectly - no folding necessary. Plus they have elastic around the waist and legs to helping to prevent leaks and blowouts. Fitted diapers do require the use of a cloth diaper cover.

Fitted cloth diapers come in a variety of materials including cotton, hemp and microfiber. Some are designed to be trim for daytime use and some are designed to be super absorbent for use as nightime diapers. There are even fitteds designed for use during the newborn stage to fit underneath the umbilical cord!

With fitted cloth diapers, you have your choice of closure - aplix (hook/loop) or snaps. In the early months, aplix is usually much easier to obtain a good fit and is very popular with daddies and childcare providers for its simplicity. However, as babies age aplix closure diapers are also more easy for baby to remove than snap closures. Snap closures are also more durable if you are planning to reuse or sell your diapers after you are done using them. Chose a closure that works for you - and you may have to try them both to determine which one is your favorite!
