Need extra absorbency for your cloth diapers? Trying to understand the difference between a double and an insert?
A doubler is typically used as an additional aborsorbency layer in a flat, prefold, fitted, or all-in-two diaper. While an insert is typically used as a "stuffer" in a pocket diaper.
Most times the two words are fairly interchangeable as you can use a doubler as an insert as well. However, it is not recommended to use a microfiber insert as a doubler if it will touch your baby's skin as microfiber is a very quick absorber and can be drying.
