History
Bull sharks are far from the largest shark species, but they are amongst the most dangerous. Although it’s important to remember that shark attacks are exceptionally rare regardless of the species, bull sharks are responsible for a large portion of reported bites. They are known to swim up fresh water rivers and estuaries, particularly in South America, Africa, and India, and as a result encounter humans much more often than other types of sharks.
More Info
Found worldwide in warm, shallow waters, the bull shark is arguably the most infamous shark species. Because of their aggressive nature and presence in both fresh and salt water, the bull shark has recorded the most attacks on humans.
